(On-Demand) Caring For Those Who Care

Description
Caring for Those Who Care: Meeting the Needs of Diverse Family Caregivers is the Diverse Elders Coalition’s updated, DEI-centered training curriculum designed to equip healthcare, social service, and aging professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to better support diverse older adults and caregivers. Its goal is to improve multicultural capacities to better understand older adults and caregivers from diverse communities. Grounded in the lived experiences of unpaid caregivers across six communities—African American and Black caregivers; American Indian and Alaska Native caregivers; Chinese American and Korean American caregivers; Hispanic and Latino caregivers; LGBTQ+ caregivers; and Southeast Asian American caregivers—the curriculum provides a culturally affirming framework for person-centered care.
